Dr Ljiljana Djekic, Associate Professor, achieved BS (1998), MS (2004) and Ph.D. (2011) at the University of Belgrade - Pharmaceutical Faculty. Specialization of health workers and healthcare associates - study program Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Pharmacy ended in 2013. She was professionally engaged at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Pharmacy as: associate in practical teaching at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Cosmetology for the subject Pharmaceutical Technology with Biopharmacy (1998), assistant-trainee (2001) and assistant (2004) for courses in Pharmaceutical technology with biopharmaceuticals and the Basics of Industrial Pharmacy and Cosmetology, and Assistant Professor (2012) and Associate Professor (2017) in Pharmaceutical Technology. Since 2001/2002. until 2005/2006. she taught practical courses in Pharmaceutical Technology with Biopharmacy at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Banja Luka (Pharmacy Study Program), Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the Faculty of Pharmacy Dr Ljiljana Djekic participates in the realization of several courses in: Integrated academic studies - study program Pharmacy; Specialist academic studies - Study program Cosmetology; Specialization of health workers and healthcare associates - study program Pharmaceutical technology; Doctoral Academic Studies - Study Program (module) Pharmaceutical Technology; Doctoral Academic Studies - Study Program (Module) Cosmetology. Research interest: development of novel pharmaceutical dosage forms and drug delivery systems based on the strategies for microencapsulation and nanoencapsulation of active substances for different routes of administration.

She was a contributor to the project “Synthesis, the quantitative relationship between structure/properties and activities, physicochemical characterization and analysis of pharmacologically active substances (No. 142071) (2006-2010) funded by the Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia. She is a participant in two ongoing national projects funded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia:

1)     Development of products and technologies that provide the desired release of solid substances from solid pharmaceutical forms (TR 34007) (since 2010) (project leader: University of Belgrade - Faculty of Pharmacy)

2)     Development of new encapsulation and enzyme technologies for the production of biocatalysts and biologically active food components in order to increase its competitiveness, quality and safety (III 46010) (since 2010) (project leader: University of Belgrade - Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, subcontractor: University of Novi Sad - Faculty of Technology).

Dr Ljiljana Djekic is the author or co-author of: 10 chapters in international books and monographs, 19 papers in international journals, 10 papers in national journals, 62 publications at international and national conferences. She also published a monograph of national importance, a patent at the national level, and she is the co-author of 7 auxiliary textbooks. (Publications)
