CV

Tamara Gojković was born in 1985 in Pec. She graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, majoring in pharmacy-medical biochemistry in 2010. During her studies, she was working in GlaxoSmithKline research laboratory, Cairo, Egypt. After internship completion, she passed the professional exam in 2012. She completed specialist academic studies (biochemical diagnostics) in 2017, and defended her doctoral dissertation “The importance of determining the cholesterol synthesis and absorption markers in healthy subjects and patients with ischemic heart disease” in 2018. From 2011-2020, she participated in “Interactive role of dyslipidemia, oxidative stress and inflammation in atherosclerosis and other diseases: genetic and biochemical markers” project. She became a teaching assistant in 2016, and in 2019, a Ph.D. teaching assistant.

In 2021, she became the principal investigator of “Preeclampsia metabolic phenotype network-PEMPNet” project (collaboration with Prof. Vesna Garovic, Ph.D., Mayo Clinic, MN, USA), and in 2022 a member of “HIgh-density lipoprotein MetabolOMe research to improve pregnancy outcome-HI-MOM” project. From 2018-2021, she participated in two Innovation Voucher projects, and she has managed “Verification of CBC parameters and erythrocyte sedimentation rate on hematology counter MEK1305 and comparison of an innovative method for determining erythrocyte sedimentation rate with the classical Westergren method” project. Since 2020, she has participated in ”Development of an innovative method for minimally invasive diagnostics and monitoring of treatment of congenital adrenal hyperplasia-CAHInnovateD” project. From 2011-2021 she participated in six international COST, and two bilateral projects with Slovenia and Croatia (two-month scientific research at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry).

She focused her research on lipidomics and various non-cholesterol sterols analysis by GC/FID, GC/MS and HPLC-MS/MS techniques in order to identify individual steroid molecule's homeostasis disorders. She is the author of 29 papers, a member of European Network for Oxysterol Research, and editor of Journal of Medical Biochemistry.
