Milos Petkovic was born on 4.12.1980. in Belgrade, where he finished primary school and XII Belgrade Grammar School. Enrolled at the Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade in the 1999/00 year and graduated 2005. at the Department of Organic Chemistry (mentors prof. dr Slobodan Milosavljevic and prof. dr. Vele Tesevic).

Milos Petkovic enrolled master academic studies in 2006/07 year, then in 2008. completed a master thesis entitled "Application of palladium-catalyzed reactions in the synthesis of aminohinolines", which produced one research paper and one poster presentation at scientific meeting. The work was done in cooperation of the Department of Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade and Department of Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy (mentors prof. dr Vladimir Pavlovic and prof. dr Vladimir Savic).

In the same year he started experimental part of doctoral dissertation in the field of organic synthesis. Main area of ​​interest is the chemistry of π-allyl palladium for synthesis of natural products. By 2012. three research papers in international journals and two presentations at national scientific meetings was published in this area.

Since 2007. year he was a teaching associate at the Department of Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy. In 2009, he was elected for teaching assistant position. He participates in practical and consultative teaching in obligatory subjects Organic Chemistry I (MF), Organic Chemistry II (MF), Bioorganic Chemistry (MF-MB), Organic Chemistry (MF-MB), as well as an elective subject Practicum in organic chemistry. In student surveys during the 2007-2013 year was graded higher than 4.90/5.00. He is a member of the committees for graduate theses and mentor of student research projects in collaboration with CNIRS. Milos Petkovic participates in preparatory course for admission to the faculty.

Milos Petkovic is coauthor of Organic chemistry practical book (for pharmacy students). He has published a total of five research papers in international journals and three presentations at national scientific meetings.
