Snežana Savić, PhD

Snežana Savić is a full professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade.

She teaches at integrated academic studies, Master of Pharmacy study program, in the subjects: Pharmaceutical Technology 1, Pharmaceutical Technology 2, Cosmetology, Basics of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and a number of subjects at specialist academic, doctoral academic, master academic studies and specialist studies in the field of health in pharmaceutical technology.

She is the author of over 470 bibliographic items (3641 citations; h-index 33; 161 papers in international and national journals and monographic chapters - in the field of pharmaceutical technology, nanotechnology/colloid sciences, cosmetology). She was vice-dean for science and international relations in the period 2018–2024. Managed/collaborated in 7 national projects (MNTRI, Fund for Science, Fund for Innovation Activities of the RS), 3 bilateral projects with SR Germany, 3 international projects with JRC EC, one Horizon 2020 project, 2 Erasmus+ projects and 2 COST actions. Prof. Savić is the coordinator of the UB Faculty of Pharmacy project EMJM Hygieia (2024-2030) within which the international joint master's program (Joint Master in Health and Wellbeing Across the Lifespan, program coordinator Prof. Bojana Vidović) is implemented in English, and the coordinator of the FPUB project GuideSkin within the Horizon Europe program (MSCA-DN 2025).

She is the co-author of the textbook Pharmaceutical Technology I (2012, 2017, 2019) and the Handbook of Cosmetology (2007, 2009). Prof. Savić successfully cooperates with numerous foreign academic/research institutions (University of Tübingen, Technical University of Braunschweig (Germany); National Hellenic Science Foundation (Greece); Faculty of Pharmacy in Ljubljana; Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry in Zagreb; University of Lusofona, (Lisbon); London Collage of Fashion, University of Surrey (UK); Medical University of Gdansk (Poland), University of Geneva). She was the mentor/supervisor of 17 PhD thesis, 1 MSc thesis and more than 50 specialist works. She is also the head of SAS Cosmetology and the Center for Cosmetology and Dermopharmacy.

As an expert associate of the Sector for the Development of Final Technologies, she worked at the ICN Galenika Institute for 7 years (1994-2001); three times a scholarship holder of the FIP Foundation for Education and Research, and two times a scholarship holder of the DAAD Foundation (Germany) for doctoral and postdoctoral training; member of the Republican Expert Commission for Pharmacy at the Ministry of Health of the RS for 6 years. She is in 2% of the most cited researchers globally according to the Stanford University list. Prof. Savić chairs the Section for Pharmaceutical Technology and Cosmetology of SFUS; member of the commissions for the defense of PhD thesis at the University of Vienna (2025) and the University of Patra (2023). She held a large number of invited lectures in the fields of pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology and cosmetology.
