Miloš Zbiljić was born in 1992. in Kilchberg, Switzerland. He has finished his primary school and Gymnasium in Kruševac. He graduated from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Biology in 2015. He defended his master thesis entitled Distribution and endangerment relict woody species of Serbia based on data from Herbarium collections of the Institute of Botany (BEOU) and Natural History Museum (BEO). Afterward, he enrolled in doctoral studies at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Biology module Plant ecology and plant geography.

He has worked as a teaching associate at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Pharmacy Department of Botany since January 2017. He was elected as a Teaching Assistant for the narrower scientific field of Botany in December 2017. In December 2020, he was re-elected to the same title.
He was a commission member for the defense of 6 final papers.

Participates in the implementation of practical classes in Botany and Medicinal Plants and the Environment at the Faculty of Pharmacy - University of Belgrade

  • Obtaining data and other services in order to continue making red lists of individual groups of organisms of flora, fauna and fungi in the Republic of Serbia” JNOP 03/ 2018 ("RED LISTS")
  • Balkan biodiversity across spatial and temporal scales - patterns and mechanisms driving vascular plant diversity (Science Fund Program Ideas - Project code 7750112)

The main research interests are taxonomy, ecology, and protection of medicinal and potentially medicinal plants in the Balkans.
