Katarina Nastić was born in 1995 in Kruševac, where she finished elementary school and high school. She enrolled at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade, master of pharmacy, in the 2014/2015 school year and graduated in 2019. During her studies, she was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and the Fund for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia - Dositeja.

During the summer of 2019, she participated in the research program of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Valencia (Facultat de Medicina i Odontologia, Universitat de València) within the Student Exchange Program (SEP).

She enrolled in doctoral academic studies (Pharmacology module) at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade in the 2019/2020 school year. She enrolled in specialist academic studies – Pharmacotherapy in pharmaceutical practice in the 2020/21 school year.

In October 2019, Katarina Nastić got a job as a junior researcher at the Department of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade. Since October 2020, she has been employed as a teaching associate, and in November 2021, she was elected as an assistant.

Katarina Nastić participates in the preparation and implementation of practical classes in the compulsory subjects Pharmacology 1, Pharmacology 2 and Pharmacotherapy, and in the elective subject Pharmacotherapy in Pediatrics. She participated in the preparation of student research papers (as a co-mentor) and was a member of the commissions for the defense of final papers of students on integrated academic studies.

Katarina Nastić participates in the scientific research work of the Department of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade. Since 2020, she has been engaged in the institutional financing of scientific research work at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. Since January 2022, she has been engaged as a researcher on a project within The IDEA Program, the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia entitled: Multimodal control of chronic pain and comorbidities with atypical analgesics ‒  "two birds with one stone" (acronyme: Fight_PainAndComorb). Katarina Nastić's field of research is the pharmacology of pain.
